I'm off to do a course on 31st August 2026 (bank holiday Monday) specifically for facial (not to be mixed up with 'facials') massage and I'm really excited to be offering this beautiful and relaxing treatment from then.

The face, head and neck hold a lot of tension and quite a few problems can be eased by concentrating on loosening up muscles around the jaw, temples, underneath the skull, forehead and into the neck/shoulders.

Sit back for a mo and have a think about how your face is feeling right now. Do you notice any places of tension/pain/discomfort? Does your neck feel a bit sore or tight?

Facial massages aim to stretch the fascia (connective tissue) so that it becomes 'less claggy', think of a spider's web that has turned into a cobweb, massage turns it back into the original web. Massage in this area promotes blood flow, nutrients and production of collagen to the area so it is very possible that your skin will look healthier afterwards, and I do know from my training, wrinkles can become smoother and less defined, although I do want to stress one massage won't be the be all and end all and this type of massage is certainly not 'antiaging', however you will definitely see the benefit of monthly treatments whether it be for tension/pain relief or for general skin care.

**Please note, I am not a Beauty Therapist.
